Painting in a 400 year old Swiss Chalet was superb, while my friends are busy renovating inside their incredible casa, the freshly laid floor in the top story became a perfect studio space. Reminiscent of epic nights at the Blue mansion in Queenstown it was mandatory for Toby (worldclass musician he is) to be playing some amazing tunes on his guitar while I dove into the depths of painting, this time two wood panels simultaneously. My easel was a music stand - worked perfectly, guitars were stacked around & I was happily fueled by dinner & beer on a picture perfect side of the lake we'd all been swimming in prior, Swiss grappa to follow through. The night flowed into early morning digits, we set I think a great precedent for this new floor to sail into future good times with... by 7:30am we were heading up the mountain for my last glorious flight of the trip before heading back to Spain.
